Middle school art class is when I first realized my obsession with painting and anything that involved getting messy. I stepped into that classroom and was instantly lost in the colors and textures, the beauty of letting my thoughts run wild, and the desire to create something unique.

My hope for each piece is that through an array of materials and colorful compositions, different feelings are evoked and that viewers make a personal connection to my artwork. I want each piece to capture my playful and vivid imagination, but most importantly, I want each piece to spark something beautiful in everyone who sees it.

Hi! I’m Amanda. I currently live in Homewood, Alabama with my husband, teen daughters and a demanding GSP puppy named Maisy.

I start most of my pieces with acrylic paint. Sometimes I have a sketch or a plan, but usually I have no clue what’s about to happen. I fancy lots of different materials, such as jumbo paint markers, acrylic inks, pastels, plaster, dry wall compound, spray paint, colored pencils, ripped up fabric, yarn, and all the neon things.

I dig through drawers and open buckets of plaster that I find in the attic with big hopes of finding that thing that makes me feel like I’m on the cusp of greatness and I can’t stop until my hands are covered in colorful magic.

I’m available for commissions, top secret collaborations and even random special projects (like murals, revamping furniture or playing with spray paint somewhere tropical).
